The man has mad skills

(Um where in the world has March gone??)

Part Two of  "he is good at lots of things." I think this is the slightly more eclectic version, aka photo dump.

Pretty proud of his pirate ship pumpkin, 2007 (and rightfully so!)
Maybe he should have been a surgeon instead of an engineer.

Doing something with that darn Hobie Cat, 2006
Pretty bad*** snow angel, amiright? 2007
Crazy straight thumbs during scuba, 2009
Set up and taken with a self timer. Pretty impressive!

Darth Vader cooks, 2008. The oven mitts are my favorite part.

24 and 25

#24/25 (Yep, I dropped the ball yesterday.)

Thomas is one of "those people" that I was constantly annoyed with growing up: he is naturally good at a wide variety of things.
Sports and anything athletic? Sure, no problem. I have no doubt that he could successfully run a marathon next weekend if he chose to, despite not training for one. He picked up snow-skiing essentially as an adult and while I may have better form, he is just as fast as I am and we have a blast skiing together (I've been skiing since I was 3).
Games and anything involving strategy? This one is in the bag, too. Guy is smart. In the pre-baby days, we used to play a lot more games together (wistful sigh), and he is great at figuring out how to win, and, well, doing just that.

Making lattes, taking pictures, fixing anything and everything around the house, reading hand puppet books, and various and sundry other tasks....make me glad that I don't have to be annoyed with him for being good at everything. Instead, I can be grateful for his wide skill set and keep him humble by beating him sometimes!

L was not amused, but the rest of us sure were!

He is tech savvy

#23: He is very good with technology.
Not only does this skill set pay the bills 'round here, but it keeps us entertained and wired at all times. For instance, yesterday when I wanted to throw my computer out the window because Blogger wasn't working right (I'm not overly dramatic at all), Thomas patiently did some troubleshooting, figured out the problem, and then published the post for me. He handles all Internet issues, TV/device purchases, computer malfunctions, "I can't get the input on the TV to work right WAHHH" complaints, etc. And in this tech-driven world of ours, it is a very good thing.
I love this picture for many reasons, and one of them is that I have a similar photograph with my dad.
